Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 June 2026

1. Nature of the Platform

MedPlus is a discovery and booking platform only. We are not a medical provider, clinic, hospital, or healthcare practitioner. MedPlus does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment. All medical services are provided directly by the independent practitioners and facilities listed on the platform.

2. Practitioner Responsibility

Practitioners and facilities listed on MedPlus are independent professionals responsible for their own practice, advice, and quality of care. MedPlus verifies MDCN registration and facility licence numbers where provided, but we cannot guarantee the quality of care you receive from any practitioner or facility.

3. Patient Discretion

Patients use the MedPlus platform at their own discretion. It is your responsibility to evaluate the suitability of any practitioner or facility for your specific needs. Always seek emergency care through appropriate emergency services when necessary.

4. Booking and Cancellation Policy

When you book an appointment through MedPlus, you agree to the following cancellation terms:

  • Cancellations made more than 2 hours before the scheduled appointment time are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 2 hours of the appointment are not eligible for a refund.
  • No-shows are treated as cancellations within 2 hours and are not eligible for refund.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to reflect.

5. Platform Moderation

MedPlus reserves the right to remove any practitioner or facility from the platform at any time, without prior notice, if we determine that they have violated these terms, provided false information, received repeated negative feedback, or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect users and the integrity of the platform.

6. Practitioner Obligations

Practitioners and facilities must maintain valid professional registration and operating licences at all times. You must promptly update your profile if your registration status changes. MedPlus may suspend listings pending re-verification if registration expiry is detected.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from your use of the MedPlus platform shall be resolved through the competent courts of Nigeria.

8. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between you and MedPlus, or between a patient and a practitioner, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably. If amicable resolution fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.

9. Changes to These Terms

MedPlus may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
